How do you use a cam hook? Maybe we should have boned up on how to aid climb before we actually started! Just kidding. We actually hauled this book all the way up the climb just to take this photo as a joke and to send to the publishers! This is a picture of Isaac before he heads of on our Leaning Tower adventure, our first aid climb. This climb took us 2 full days and involved sleeping a a really nice ledge around 400 feet. It was a tough experience but very rewarding and I would like to do at least a couple aid climbs every trip back to the Valley. Isaac jugging after one of my leads.
Ahh, you've got to love cleaning aid pitches!
Isaac leading arguably the best pitch of the whole route.
My bed for the night on Ahwannee Ledge. This is actually a superb spot to sleep on any wall, anywhere.

The morning of day two. The gear in the background is ours, the foreground is another climbers we made friends with along the way.
So, how do you poop on a wall climb? Carefully, and into containers that you haul along to dispose of the waste after the climb. Leaving poo or chucking it of the wall is a big no-no! We were lucky enough on this climb to have a large ledge so this activity was one we did not have to share too much!

The view of El Cap from the base of the East Buttress of Middle Cathedral. Simply stunning. Now that I have done Leaning Tower I am going to do the Nose first chance I get. The Nose route is basically where the light meets the shadow on this picture, give or take.
El Cap is this big! I will crush you!!!!
Russ looking stoic. Its a wonderful thing, being exactly where you want to be at a give moment.

This is my awesome musketeer outfit for the Halloween party. I made the boots and sword myself. Pretty freaking great!
